Belgrave singer, guitarist and composer Jacqui Rutten will be performing at a charity recital in Sassafras on Sunday 26 October. Sacred, Classical and Celtic: a charity concert for homeless women and children will be held at the Kennon Memorial Uniting Church from 2pm.
Rutten will show her eclectic musical style and broad experience performing as soprano alongside baritone Laurence Moore, as well as play guitar and sing accompanied by violinist/fiddler Jane Coleman and flautist Johanna Selleck.
The event will also feature singer and Celtic harpist Sam Derrick, local medieval group The Loude Band, and local choir Singularity.
Funds raised will be put towards a shelter for the homeless. Tickets are $15/$10/children free and may be purchased at the door.
